Steven Hanish,MD Director of the Advanced Liver Disease Program University of Maryland has on site office hours as needed at the Silver Spring location of Montgomery Gastroenterology/Montgomery Liver Disease Center.
Dr. Steven Hanish is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and director of hepatobiliary surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He received his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Hanish then completed a multi-visceral abdominal transplant fellowship at the University of Wisconsin. In 2009, he was recruited to Emory University Hospital where he served as both a liver transplant and hepatobiliary surgeon and director of the multidisciplinary liver tumor board.
